About Christopher Schefferine

I am a hardworking, dedicated individual. I take pride in my work and accomplishments, while continuing to learn as I grow. I put a lot of pressure on myself to succeed and I plan on continuing to do so until I get to where I want to be. My experience for the most part is in retail with specialty in sales. However, there is a lot more to it than it sounds. To be brief, these are some of my work experiences- Training and mentoring new associates- Orchestrating and assigning tasks to coworkers to meet deadlines including plan-a-gram changes, store promotions, and other necessary adjustments- Getting my department “customer-ready” by down-stocking merchandise- In charge of reviewing sales goals, finding and locating merchandise to match store inventory and correcting the inventory-when necessary, as well as other inventory-related processes- Helping and engaging customers is a big part of my job and making sure I can give them the best information possible is of upmost importance to myself and the company. These are just a few of my many experiences working in retail. I believe these experiences have shaped me into understanding what is important, not only for myself, but the companies I have worked for. Since graduating Farmingdale State College with my bachelor's degree in Business Management in the Fall of 2013, I have been seeking a career in the insurance industry; mostly in the field of claims. I believe this area is a great fit for me, especially with my background in customer service and solving problems. Not only that, I have a passion for helping people and making the most of any situation with sincerity and up-most compassion. I have a lot of pride in myself, especially with my goals and aspirations and I will work as hard as I can to reach them.
