About Christopher Schmidt

Although I have my B.A in music from Stony Brook University, I have acquired most of my skill from vast experience in the field. I am also well versed in film and video editing. Please find attached my portfolio throughout the page. I have been teaching, touring, and composing/producing music since my late teens. I am in my mid-twenties but I have acquired enough skill, experience, and credibility in the past 10 years to prove I am qualified for multiple positions. I began teaching at the Musicology Performance Center when I was 16-years-old. Within a few months I was promoted to head music director. My most notable accomplishment was leading the All Star Program at the NAMM Festival (2016) in Anaheim, California. We were sponsored by Korg and have been invited back each year since. I eventually accepted a position at the School of Rock. Since being signed to Omnipop Talent Agency (2016) at the age of 17, I was fortunate enough at a young age to learn the ins and outs of touring. Playing local venues in the Long Island music scene led me to be discovered by SONY artist and South African “Idol” finalist, Adeline Mocke. Working with Adeline gave me the opportunity to perform at corporate events hosted by PIMCO and travel the country. This experience led to my position in the band Tired Radio which in turn has expanded my touring from domestic to international. It has also led to an endorsement from Ernie Ball.
