I have over 35 years experience in the insurance industry. I started out in Personal Lines sales, working first for an Agent of State Farm and then as an agent for Metropolitan Life. I then switched to handling Medical Malpractice claims for Medical Liability Mutual, then Caronia Corporation (a regional independent investigation company) and then Physicians' Reciprocal Insurers. In 1989, I moved to American International Group and started handling Lawyers' Professional Liability claims. Over the past 24 years at AIG, I handled virtually all types of Professional Liability claims and I've spent about half of my career there involved in Quality Assurance. I first worked as a Director on the Closed File Review team and worked my way up to become a Vice President in Global Quality Assurance overseeing the groups that review Property, Casualty, Financial Lines and Pollution claims.
