About Christopher Sherry

Christopher Sherry brings a wealth of experience in law enforcement, currently serving as the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, Captain of Inspectors, focusing on consumer justice. With a distinguished career at the California Highway Patrol (CHP), he retired as Captain and Commander, overseeing offices in Dublin, San Francisco, and Castro Valley. A graduate of California State University, Chico, with a Bachelor’s in political science and a paralegal certificate, Captain Sherry is also a graduate of the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Command College and POST Supervisory Leadership Institute. Passionate about community involvement, he's an Eagle Scout and actively serves on the Special Olympics Northern California Law Enforcement Torch Run Executive Committee. Formerly chairing the CHP’s Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities and contributing to initiatives like Mothers Against Drunk Driving, his dedication to service and advocacy is evident throughout his career. Captain Sherry is the fourth of five generation of law enforcement officers in his family.
