About Christopher Spires

Chris Spires co-founded CoastalStates Wealth Management of Raymond James with a desire to combine Wall Street with Main Street for the benefit of his client. Although the markets have changed quite a bit over his 25-year career, Chris has always applied the same principal of putting his clients’ interests first. Chris firmly believes that “the most successful financial advisors are the ones that care the most about their clients”. Chris graduated from Elon University in North Carolina and held numerous positions in the financial services industry with Smith Barney, and Wachovia Securities prior to joining Raymond James and Associates in 2008. Chris serves as a Managing Director- Senior Vice President of Investments, and applies his experience and knowledge of the capital markets to help individual clients and families build, manage, and maintain their wealth. Chris is originally from Columbus, OH and moved to Hilton Head/ Bluffton, South Carolina 20 years ago with his wife Dana; and their three children. When not assisting clients, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, boating, exercising, playing tennis, skiing, scuba diving, traveling in their Airstrean, listening to live music.Chris also serves as a member of the governing board of Coastal Carolina Hospital.
