About Christopher Svatik

Christopher Allen Svatik is a Lieutenant Junior Grade in the United States Navy and is currently serving as a Naval Aviator. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) at Kings Point, New York in June of 2017, with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Maritime Logistics and Security. He also holds a U.S. Coast Guard Deck Officer License of Unlimited Tonnage. USMMA is unique in that its students must complete a year-long internship aboard merchant cargo ships engaged in global maritime trade. During his time at sea, Mr. Svatik served aboard the MV Sealand Comet, a containership transporting cargo from North America to Asia. He also worked on the MT Maersk Michigan, a tanker vessel delivering fuel between Asia and the Middle East, as well as the National Geographic Explorer, a cruise vessel sailing from the Antarctic to the Arctic with a shipyard period in Bremerhaven, Germany. Mr. Svatik takes great interest in serving the local community whenever possible. He previously volunteered as an Emergency Medical Technician for four years, while also partaking in many church activities and town events. He is an active member of Officer Christian Fellowship (OCF), a Christian group within the military. Mr. Svatik’s interests include travel, navigation, sports, and reading. He has traveled to thirty-one different countries, giving him unmatched foreign relation experience. As time and resources allow, Mr. Svatik intends to also pursue a masters in macro-economics to further his knowledge base.
