About Christopher Tanaka-Mann

I aspire to being both an educator and a performing artist with equal zeal and vigor. I love teaching English and Philosophy at the secondary level, though I would really love to teach music, particularly voice. I have been singing and studying voice since I was very young, and my combined inspiration for music and motivation for teaching have made music education an easy choice for me. As an educator, I am a certified Ontario Secondary Teacher, though I have more recently been working with much younger students (3 - 5 yrs. old!) in a Montessori School. I want to teach music, and have taught voice, piano, theory, and guitar privately over the years. I also love to tutor and am particularly adept with English tutelage, though I'm comfortable with any subject. As a performing artist, I have performed most predominantly as a musician. My main instrument is the voice, but I am proficient with the guitar and the piano. I am an eager learner in all things performing arts, and I have had my hand in quite a few musical theatre productions lately. I have been learning about acting since my high school graduating year, and have had fairly consistent opportunities because of my energy, enthusiasm, and zest for learning and improvement. I think I have come a long way as a performer and look forward to any opportunities that should greet me in the coming years!
