About Christopher Thomas

Chris Thomas is an award-winning screenwriter and a senior level creative with over 15 years experience in the field of instructional design, writing and media production and creative writing education. She is the recipient of three Alfie Awards including the Judges Choice Award, The National Retail Council’s Heineman Trophy for ground-breaking work in broadcast advertising and the International Television and Video Association’s Award for outstanding Achievement. Most recently, her screenplay, Desert Run, took first place in the Writemovies national screenplay competition, and finished in the top 10% of the prestigious Nichols Competition. Locally, her work was recognized by the New Mexico Film Foundation. Ms. Thomas has focused on designing learning and presentation modules for a diversity of technical areas. Working closely with technical experts, corporation leaders and attorneys, she analyzes material, conceptualizes the structure of information and creates cognitively sound, visual tutorials which enable non-technical learners to understand complex issues. Specializing in new media, Chris’ projects are designed for web, CD and DVD delivery methodologies and include computer animation, electronic and traditional illustration and audio/video and film production. Her interest in biochemistry and medicine enabled her to design presentations for many biotech patent litigations as well as the physiology tutorials for several of the large anti-tobacco trials. She has also developed presentations for the FAA for program advocacy before the Senate Appropriations Committee, for NATO in several languages and for Quest as a part of their defense before the Senate Investigating Committee. Chris has an abiding interest in the development of new, engaging learning methodologies. She has taught art and English to post-secondary students and has consolidated her extensive hands-on experience with an Masters in Instructional Design E-learning from the University of Colorado Denver.
