About Christopher Thurn

My starting job was in the food industry, leaving a lasting impression on myself. I worked as a waiter, a cook and then was promoted to manager during that time period. It was a wonderful experience and has left a lasting impression as I relate to the struggles those in the food industry deal with. From there I worked shortly as an intern, although this was a brief opportunity as things changed rapidly on the job and staffing adjustments were made. So not long into the job I was let go. At my job with GameStop, it was a wonderful experience. I created bonds with customers who were delighted to see me on a daily basis and employees who were wonderful to work with. It became a difficult job at the start of the Pandemic and I will be honest there were disagreements between the lower level staff and the upper management on the handling of the safety of both customers and employees. But soon there after we learned our store was being closed, and an enjoyable job and wonderful customer experience came to a close. Still to this day I keep in contact with both old customers and former employees. LexisNexis is where I currently work now. Starting at the height of the pandemic, we began working remotely and stayed that way for almost 2 years. As the world began to open back up, we slowly began coming back into the office and working there on a daily basis. I have worked with multiple departments here and have met some fantastic individuals. Several projects have been worked on in this job and I am proud to have taken part in all of them. I am also proud in being able to be a welcoming face for users who came to us for support, offering assistance often and striving to leave customers satisfied.
