Most recently, Christopher Tkaczyk was the Chief Content Officer for the human resources data analytics company Great Place to Work, where he oversaw editorial content, including company profiles, research reports, live events, newsletters, and the articles and lists of the Best Workplaces. He created and hosted Better, a podcast of interviews with executives from Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For. Previously he was the senior news editor at Travel + Leisure overseeing daily breaking news stories for the web and edited the magazine’s Upgrade section, which offers strategies, tips, and advice to help readers become smarter global travelers. To inspire readers to use all of their paid time off, he created and launched Operation Vacation, a page of exclusive deals and discounts on airfare, hotels, cruises, and travel packages. He also managed T+L’s annual A-List, the definitive compilation of the world’s best travel agents and specialists. As a member of T+L's Business Travel Advisory Board, he met regularly with executives to keep a finger on the pulse of the latest trends in business travel for companies and their road warriors. Before joining T+L, Tkaczyk was a senior editor at Fortune covering business travel and luxury content. He wrote and edited feature stories and managed the brand’s many multi-platform lists, including the Fortune 500, the Global 500, the World’s Most Admired Companies, and the 100 Best Companies to Work For. He was also responsible for managing the editorial calendar and the integration of Fortune’s print and digital content. He has appeared as a commentator on many broadcast news shows, including the BBC, CNN, CBS, NBC, NPR, WNYC, Fortune Live, NY1, and HuffPo Live, and is a frequent speaker at conferences. His work has appeared in/on CNN.com, Health, People, Time, Money, Food & Wine, The Advocate, and Yahoo Finance. Prior to joining Fortune in Tkaczyk worked for the Committee on Energy and Commerce in the U.S. House of Representatives. He’s a former staff writer of The Mackinac Island Town Crier and has a B.A. in English literature and playwriting from the University of Michigan.
