About Christopher Torres

Graduate of California State University, East Bay majoring in Economics with minors in Business Administration and Sociology. I am eager to utilize the many skills learned in my experiences in the military and in school within the public sector. I have studied in theory and quantitative methods and have learned how to use an economist way of thinking to better understand economic events taking place on the global stage. I have a diverse military background having served for almost nine years now in both active duty and the Air National Guard with one deployment. I am currently in the Air National Guard where I’ve been promoted to the rank of Technical Sergeant. The role of a Non Commissioned Officer is one with many challenges, expectations, and deadlines. As a Medical Logistics NCO, I have to be knowledgeable and efficient in my role within the team in order to satisfy both customers and vendors such that our hospital is best suited for its mission in serving patients. Some of the qualities learned throughout my experiences in the military and in school include: leadership, organization, goal orientation, research analysis, and written/graphical/quantitative execution Memerberships: American Economic Association and the Air Force Sergeants Association
