Throughout my career, whether in a military management role, serving as an elected board chairman of district commissioners, or sharing my knowledge and counsel as a certified teacher and expert trainer…there’s been one constant: A passion for proactively taking the lead on projects that greatly improve the performance and cost efficiency of the entities with which I am entrusted. Give you some examples: As Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance Supervisor at the Rhode Island National Guard, I managed the logistics and personnel operations of four field maintenance facilities with 35 employees, responsible for a budget of $4 million. As Program Manager, Educational Services, I streamlined the quarterly records review process for tracking standardized tests, resulting in a 20% savings in time and an increase in total exam count of 10%. As the elected Board Chairman of Fire Commissioners for the Pascoag, RI Fire District, I innovated a debt consolidation program that eliminated $1.1 million in debt in 3 years. In one of my biggest undertakings, as Board Chairman of the Pascoag Utility District I led a 5-year,$3 million water system upgrade, reducing district-wide consumption 20%. These are examples of how my technical knowhow, common sense solutions and the leadership to move projects forward have produced successful outcomes. And they are capabilities I can bring from day one to the private sector company or government role I now seek. My knowledge and skills are built on a solid educational foundation, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History, and a Master of Arts in Secondary Education, both from Rhode Island College. I also hold a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration from American Military University. I am proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Teams; as well as QuickBooks and Zoom.
