About Christopher Toy

Graduate from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology with a minor in History. I am looking for a full-time job in Atlanta in the medical/biology field in relation to research or analyzing data. I have obtained the required skills and practices to work in a lab through my experience but also have the personal skills to work with a team in order to complete an objective. In college, I was involved in multiple labs that prepared me with the skills and techniques required such as writing scientific papers, performing experiments using the scientific process, and using equipment such as pipettes, centrifuge, PowerLab, LabChart, etc. I was involved in a biotechnology lab that used local earth samples to isolate and purify bacteriophages to examine effects of bacteriophage on bacteria resistance to antibiotics. Another lab that I was involved with was a physiology lab that compared the physiological differences between humans and other species. Experiments performed include weight vs. cortisol level, BMI and atrial depolarization time, as well as the effect of caffeine on blood pressure and heart rate in people that do drink caffeine versus those that don't.
