About Christopher Tweitmann

Chris Tweitmann joined the School of Theology faculty in January 2006 as an Adjunct Instructor. Reverend Tweitmann began his professional career in business management and human resources for AMC Theaters before moving out of the corporate world to answer the Lord’s call to pastoral ministry. He graduated with his Masters of Divinity from Fuller in 2004 and was ordained as a minister in the Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) that same year. Chris has served congregations in Redondo Beach, Los Angeles, and Seattle, WA and has been serving for the last nine years as the Senior Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Huntington Beach, California. Rev. Tweitmann has been the instructor of several classes offered at Fuller including Medieval Reformation Theology and Evangelistic Preaching. Blessed to study under professors, John and Marianne Thompson, Marguerite Shuster, William Pannell and the late Dr. Ray Anderson, Chris understands the proclamation of the Gospel as the defining characteristic of every disciple and every church of Jesus Christ. Therefore the work of preaching is not only to or for the Church but more importantly to inspire and to encourage the whole Body of Christ to speak up and to speak out through her voice and her actions of the truth, love, and grace of Jesus Christ. Rev. Tweitmann has been the President of Fuller's Alumni Council and continues to contribute to that team. Currently, he is the Head Spiritual Director of the Lutheran Cursillo Movement of Southern California. He and his wife, Beth, who is an elementary school teacher and Children’s Ministry Director, have two grown children and a spirited Italian Greyhound named Dante. Chris enjoys the gift of Sabbath by reading, watching and talking about movies, listening to music, enjoying the beach, and sharing good conversation about life, faith, and Jesus.
