About Christopher Vas

With over 20 years of experience across Australasia and NZ spanning business, government and academia, I currently lead the activation of the Food Innovation Precinct Western Australia (FIPWA). The FIPWA was funded $21M by the Australian Government and $40M+ by the State Government as part of the development of the Peel Business Park. The Precinct has also been funded an additional $3.8M by the WA State Government and the Shire of Murray to establish an Enterprise Support Program. I was also a Co-founder and Principal Consultant of FutureSafe Tech in Singapore, activating the edtech startup, enhancing safety training using simulation and virtual reality applications. The suite of products include B2C applications and Enterprise Solutions. My past career has entailed (re)designing and delivering executive & academic programs such as the MBA and MOOC courses e.g. Smart Cities; Productivity and Innovation policy programs at the ANU in collaboration with the Australian Government; setting up new initiatives such as a R&D Centre in Singapore - while managing operations, leading teams, producing quantifiable growth in revenues, market share and driving organisational transformation. Equipped with a PhD and an MBA, I have also completed the Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT Sloan and an Executive Coaching certification from Columbia Business School. To strengthen my capabilities in the areas of strategy, financial management, risk management and governance, I completed the Company Directors Course becoming a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors (IoD NZ) and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
