About Christopher Waldie

Currently enjoying owning and running a small farm in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh. Where we produce quality local food through considerate farming. Working with a number of local farmers and businessess to procure quality livestock and ensure the facilities are at a high standard. We breed and raise Aberdeen Angus cattle, Dexter, Mangalitsa and Kunekune pigs, poultry and goats who we breed for both milk and eventually meat. We also breed and show Jacob sheep at county shows around Northern Ireland and have shown at Balmoral, Antrim and Omagh winning rosettes in a number of classes. Former teacher in an independent preparatory school in Broadstairs in Kent. I was responsible for delivering the Physics and Chemistry elements of the science programme; this included creating schemes of work and the programme of study. Ensuring lessons were created and presented in a way which enhanced learning and opened up a world of possibilities for the pupils. As part of the Troops to Teachers Scheme I completed a BA (Hons) in Primary Education as well as completing a Diploma of Higher Education in Natural Sciences during my 13 years in the Royal Air Force. I have taught in both Independent and State schools and I have experience of both Primary and Secondary education. I am a self-motivated, hard-working and trustworthy individual, comfortable working in a team or independently. Someone who thrives on pressure and is able to stay focused in a pressurised environment. I enjoy mentoring and teaching others to maintain high standards.
