About Christopher Watts

I'm Christopher Watts, an Emergency Service Specialist with a passion for training and assessing. From 2010 to 2017, I had the incredible opportunity to work with Blackwoods Training and Protector Alsafe Training & Services, delivering high-quality and industry-leading critical safety and emergency response courses across Australia and overseas. During this time, I was able to share my knowledge and expertise, helping individuals and organizations develop the necessary skills to handle emergency situations effectively. It was truly rewarding to see the impact of these courses and know that I was contributing to building a safer environment. I spent 6 years at Groote Eylandt working for South32 as an Emergency Services Officer and Supervisor, this was an excellent opportunity to hone my skills and grow my incident management and leadership skills. Due to Groote Eylandt’s remoteness and close community and cultural connections it provided opportunities to train, work in community and provide valuable assistance. Now, as a volunteer member at Cairns SES and an Area Controller employed with the Queensland State Emergency Service, I continue to apply the valuable experiences and insights gained from my extensive background.
