About Christopher Wesel

I am a PMP certified Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Force Manager/Modernizer with over 18 years of active duty service in the US Army. I currently work at the 52D Ordnance Group (EOD), where I manage active force design updates and equipment fielding for two EOD Battalions that oversee all active-duty EOD Companies in the eastern United States. I also propose new changes to EOD unit force design in the areas of Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel, and Facilities. My core competencies include EOD operations, safety program compliance, master driver management, and VIP mission coordination. I have extensive experience in identifying, rendering safe, and exploiting hazardous domestic, foreign, conventional, chemical, and nuclear ordnance, as well as improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on the battlefield. I am a counter IED subject matter expert and an explosives/hazardous materials response specialist. I have also supported the United States Secret Service, local law enforcement agencies, and civil authorities with hazardous device detection capabilities all around the world. My mission is to provide the best possible EOD support to protect the lives and property of the nation and its allies.
