Having been raised by dual career parents who worked hard to support the family, I have held myself to a high standard of achievement and integrity from an early age. This commitment to over-achieve was demonstrated by becoming valedictorian in high school, graduating top of my class for finance majors at Indiana University School of Business, being first in my family to go to college, and being rated at the top of my investment banking analyst class at Dean Witter Reynolds in my first job after college. I am not afraid of challenges and will take risks when they offer attractive upside. Examples include moving to NYC by myself from a small suburb in Indianapolis after college, leaving a successful investment banking career and taking a substantial pay cut to join a small, risky startup hedge fund at age 24, and then walking away from a high-paying position at an established hedge fund to launch a new one with colleagues and having no guarantee of success.Today as a forward-looking, entrepreneurial corporate finance/alternative asset management and operations executive, all these traits, experiences and influences come together in leading strategic direction of multi-billion-dollar portfolios.
