About Christopher Yendt

Christopher is a passionate and driven champion for those less fortunate and a defender of the rights of those who have and continued to experience marginalization. An advocate for those who are unable to do so for themselves. This advocacy is particular focused on the #MentalHealthandAddictions and #LGBTQ+ communities, Christopher see's strength and opportunity for communities who may not yet have discovered that strength themselves. Having amassed more than 40 years of concurrent Board Governance experience, he has seen the impacts (good, bad & ugly) that policy can have. A university graduate, certified teacher and certified consultant who has established a track record of success in a variety of different areas within the fields of public policy and not-for-profit management. Having collected experience as both a lay member as well as in various board leadership roles, he has managed to build on leading practice by using knowledge of governance in other sectors as well as by providing innovative solutions to help boards in the community achieve their full potential. Alongside this involvement, Christopher continues to pursue higher education and is a dedicated learner and researcher. In particular, his research focuses on mental health education and support. He continues to maintain community involvement and am always willing to provide consultation with other board members who are looking for solutions to common issues.
