Experience:Christos is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Reinsurance (ARe), and Licensed P&C Producer.Currently Christos is working at Sompo International supporting North American Casualty Treaty business and leading the SompoReConnect Casualty Facultative portfolio. Christos started with Sompo when they acquired his team from Maiden Re North America.Prior to Maiden Re, Christos worked at Chubb (ACE). In this role he managed a P&C program, was the Technology and Product Development Lead for the Misc. Professional & Technology E&O Product, and the Northeast Region Team Leader. Christos began working in the primary insurance market at USLI as an Underwriter on the New England Regional Commercial Lines Team. In this role Christos worked with the company's Wholesale and Retail customers to build and grow a profitable book of business. Christos began his (Re)Insurance career with Towers Watson in the firms Treaty Reinsurance Claims Department. During this time he specialized in various Professional Lines of Insurance, contract interpretation, and facilitating claim audits. He then moved on to the Treaty Accounting Department where he administrated the accounting for Canadian reinsurance business as well as complex Domestic Marine and Professional Liability business. Christos was also a member of the Production Team, assisting in generating new business, compiling underwriting submissions & contract wordings, coverage placement, and working closely with clients and markets. Prior to his career in Insurance, Christos’ experience included work in Public Accounting administrating audits and reviews for government agencies, for profit businesses and non-profit businesses, as well as, preparing corporate tax filings and financial statements.Other Roles: Christos has been involved with implementing corporate software and has assisted companies / clients in achieving a paperless environment and designing underwriting technology. He has also been successful in product development for Misc Professional & Technology Liability, Business Owners (BOP), and Cyber Liability products.
