About Christy Hunt

With over 20 years’ experience as an Executive Manager, Nursing and Community Services Educator, Christy has a comprehensive background in Change and Human resource management including budget and financial management for large scale organisations. She currently holds the position of National Workforce Development Manager within the Centre for HealthCare Transformation (QUT) working with the Aged Care and Palliative Care sector to increase the workforce developments required to improve outcomes in Residential and Community Services Sectors. Christy also holds a background in Primary Health Care having held the role of State Manager for Australia's largest network of General Practices. Previous to this she held the role of GM for Health and Community Services for a Government VET provider, this included roles such as Head of School of Nursing, Nurse Education and management roles in Aged Care and General Practice. Christy has a passion for workforce development, change management and working in Non-executive Director Board roles that focus on increasing the prospects of health provision and education within disadvantaged groups. Her roles have included working with NGO’s, State Based Boards, Ministerial Taskforce initiatives and the Collective Impact 2030 Initiative. Christy has a focus on increasing service provision and improving care initiatives in a framework of equality within service design.
