About Christy Kane

I currently work at Soul Work Counseling in Champlin, Minnesota, where I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, having graduated from North Central University in August of 2020 with my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy. I work with couples, adult individuals, and families using multiple models such as Solution Focused, Gottman, Internal Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused therapy. In addition, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and will soon be a certified practitioner in these and other methods. I specialize in Sex Addiction Recovery for couples, addicts, and spouses, as well as in depression, anxiety disorders, and emotional/relational trauma. In addition, I facilitate couple's groups and support groups. I have been a professionally trained and certified Life Coach since December of 2006 ministering to women in marriage/relationship crisis. It is my goal to help as many women as possible, letting them know they don't have to go through things alone. I have led women's support groups for about 20 years and am currently writing a devotional specifically for women in relationship crisis. In the Fall of 2013 I returned to school to obtain my degree in Psychology, and began my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in August of 2016. I graduated in August of 2020.
