Grounded in trauma-informed, anti-racist pedagogy, I empower students and colleagues to thrive by embracing their unique strengths and perspectives. With a passion for education and community building, I combine heart-centered approaches with cutting-edge tools like AI to enhance engagement, accessibility, and collaboration in every endeavor. I have honed my skills in diverse roles—from teaching English Composition and Literature as an adjunct professor to leading adult education programs and facilitating professional development workshops. My expertise extends to integrating AI technologies, such as ChatGPT, into educational settings to support personalized learning and improve digital literacy for both students and educators. Beyond the classroom, I am an advocate for lifelong learning and holistic well-being. As a certified laughter yoga coach, I bring joy and stress relief to group workshops and community events. My passion for genealogy fuels my interest in storytelling and connection, while my love for outdoor activities like kayaking and hiking inspires resilience and creativity. A dedicated community leader, I have served as the parent co-chair of the Winthrop STEM School Governance Board, coordinated outreach programs for Niantic Community Church, and supported women’s professional growth as a board member of the Southeastern Connecticut Women’s Network. These roles have deepened my ability to build relationships, lead teams, and create meaningful impact within and beyond the classroom. My service began in Girl Scouts, and I am a proud Gold Award Girl Scout.
