About Chuck Hilliard

As a Senior Training Specialist at CONSOLIDATED NUCLEAR SECURITY, LLC (CNS), I leverage my 15+ years of experience in power distribution, substation maintenance, and line work to design and deliver effective and engaging training programs for a diverse workforce. I have a passion for knowledge acquisition and sharing that experience. I hold certifications as a Lineman, a Substation Technician, Certified Safety Manager, and recently attended a Master Instructional Design certification. In my current role, I contribute to the improvement of training, safety standards, and operational efficiency at CNS, a contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy. I instruct engaging lockout/tagout training regularly. I also work with multiple stakeholders to identify training needs, develop curricula, and evaluate outcomes. I have experience in establishing zones of protection for work on or near distribution voltages, and writing switching orders. My mission is to ensure the employees know their responsibilities to perform their tasks safely, reliably, and confidently.
