About Chuck Jones

I am a strategic communications professional with a unique blend of marketing, corporate communications, public relations agency, consulting and news media experience. I recognize the critical importance of communications in supporting an organization’s strategy. To that end, I am proud of the role I have played in the success of the companies and clients for whom I have worked, and have been commended for my efforts on their behalf. For example, one client wrote, “Your work has been instrumental in helping my team achieve market visibility and if I'd paid for it via ‘outside help,’ you can safely say that your work has been worth millions to me.” I currently serve as Chief Communications Officer for Citizens Bank in Batesville, Ark. I previously operated a marketing, communications and public relations consulting business in the Atlanta area. I also served two years as Chair of the Corporate Communications Section of PRSA. For more than six years, I was Director, External Affairs, for ChoicePoint, an information services company located in Alpharetta, Ga. In this position, I was directly responsible for all communications and was the company's primary liaison with the news media. My career began in the news media – including radio, television and newspaper – culminating with my tenure as Business Editor of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the state’s largest newspaper. I was subsequently hired by Arkansas’ premier advertising agency, serving such clients as McDonald’s, Entergy Corp, International Paper and Georgia-Pacific. I later joined Georgia-Pacific, directing corporate communications activities for the forest products company’s pulp, paper and building products businesses.
