About Ciara Aluko

With a Master's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching and over eight years of experience in the field, I am a passionate and skilled Language Teacher at Texas Hearing Institute. Here, I create and implement early literacy lesson plans that improve the language skills of students with hearing impairment. I also assess their cognitive, adaptive, and social-emotional growth, and generate weekly data reports that identify their areas of concern and growth. In my previous roles as an Educator at Fort Bend ISD and a Reading Teacher at KIPP Texas Public Schools, I utilized various educational technologies, such as Schoology, Canva, WeVideo, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Google Classroom, to create interactive and differentiated online and in-person curricula for diverse learners. I also led professional development for teachers, developed content and training videos for parents, and contributed to significant reading growth for several below grade level students. I enjoy using my curriculum expertise and online instruction skills to further heighten the skills of diverse learners.
