I am an aspiring journalist with experience in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and well-being writing. I am curious by nature and find myself eager to explore emerging fashion and beauty trends and share well-being advice through my writing. I began writing for a small online blog in my local area and have since written for Teen Breathe magazine which is a proud achievement for me. I have published a variety of articles with Fizzy Mag where I have 1 year of voluntary experience working under tight deadlines, pitching and brainstorming fresh ideas to the team, executing content that is on-brand with a unique tone of voice, researching the latest emerging trends to construct innovative concepts for articles, writing new beauty and fashion product launches, overseeing the creation of questions for interviews, and uploading and editing articles to the database upon publication.(https://fizzymag.com/authors/ciara-beal) I have also had the experience to work as an editor for Aila magazine. An independent online and print publication promoting female empowerment, self-love, and encouraging women to be their best selves. My role involved commissioning new writers, managing online writing pitches and submissions from pitch to final draft. Proofreading, editing, and improving stories. Providing constructive and direct feedback to writers. Optimising published pieces using SEO guidelines. From my experience, I have gained a stronger passion for journalism and would love to further expand my background in this field. Away from this, I study a Bachelor of Science in English Language and Communication. I'm graduating in May 2024 and I'm interested in full-time fashion, beauty, well-being writer or editor roles.
