About Ciara McOmber

As a child, I spent much of my time nose-deep in encyclopedias, and that curiosity has never left me. In fact, it drove me to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biology and to undertake independent undergraduate research. Throughout my time in college, I've gained experience in diverse scientific fields and techniques. From botany to bacteria; from electrophoresis to enzymatics, I haven't yet encountered a topic I wasn't eager to dive into. I have spent the last few years working in a chemistry lab between classes, tackling tasks as varied as instrumental maintenance, wet lab work and tutoring. Since early 2022, I worked as the Chemical Stockroom Manager, revitalizing organizational systems and ensuring reagents are being stored in a safe, secure manner with up-to-date records. Through experience earned in class and work alike, I have honed my childhood curiosity into analytical abilities capable of matching my passion for science. I am looking for opportunities in the natural sciences, especially in the fields of chemistry and biology. I hope to contribute passion, energy, and earnest curiosity to a scientific undertaking. I'm looking forward to contributing to a team and hope to help foster a productive and safe work environment.
