Background
About Ciara Meehan
I am currently working at Bow Street Museum of Crime and Justice in Covent Garden. The Museum tells the history of policing on Bow Street starting with the Bow Street Runners in the 18th Century. My primary responsibilities here are the management of the Museum's social media, accessibility resources, and the visitor experience operations of the Museum. I have recently completed my Master of Arts in Classical Art and Archaeology with a first-class dissertation titled 'Awareness to Action: Making museums accessible for all visitors'. Since then I have worked with the British Museum with their collections in storage and recently embarked on young peoples programmes with both the British Museum and the Royal Museums Greenwich creating digital content targeted at visitors aged 16-25. I plan to forge a career in the heritage sector, with a special focus on access for disabled visitors and learners. I am a friendly, enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in arts and culture always looking for a new challenge.
