About Ciara Mooney

In my role as a business consultant at Grant Thornton, I had the opportunity to lead and support various projects and teams. Working across a range of industries and sectors, I successfully delivered strategic and transformational outcomes for clients. Prior to my work as a business consultant, I gained valuable customer service and sales skills while working for Nourish Health Stores. During this time, I developed skills in client relationship management, time management, and problem-solving. Additionally, I was engaged as a Regional Development Officer for Special Olympics Ireland as part of an internship, where I supported the organisation's strategic agenda and facilitated the delivery of events for athletes with intellectual disabilities. I have a master's degree in Strategic Management from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, where I learned how to apply analytical, critical and creative thinking to strategic business problems. I also have a bachelor's degree in Sports and Exercise Management from University College Dublin. This program allowed me to gain a thorough understanding of strategic management and planning in the context of sports management, while also following my passion for health and wellness. From my professional experience and education, I have developed expertise in strategic planning, project management, process optimisation, and event management. I enjoy working with diverse and dynamic teams to assist clients and stakeholders in navigating strategic decision-making and I have particular experience in creating highly engaged collaborative groups to support strategic agendas by facilitating workshops and events. I aim to leverage my knowledge and experience to help organisations grow and transform to thrive in a changing and competitive environment.
