About Ciara Simonson

Ciara Simonson brings a heart of compassion, genuine care, and empathic understanding to her counseling practice. Ciara’s approach to working with clients includes a combination of cognitive-behavioral theory and person-centered therapy. She offers her clients support, guidance, and structure to develop self-awareness and acceptance, find their voices to own their truth, and freedom to affect meaningful change in their lives. Ciara identifies herself as the “wounded healer” who shares her passion for healing and wholeness with individuals, couples, groups, and through workshops. Ciara’s compassion for humanity, her theological background combined with communication skills allow her to help people address and identify their beliefs, attitudes, manage their expectations, and plans for healing, growth, and self-actualization. AREAS OF COMPETENCE Ciara has extensive knowledge, skills, and abilities in counseling, human services, and leadership development. She is experienced in faith formation, spiritual direction, clergy support/coaching, career coaching, treating anxiety, depression, anger, grief, adjustment issues, mood disorders, premarital and marital issues, divorce, co-parenting, women’s services including infertility, anti-partum, and post-partum depression, and early pregnancy loss bereavement.
