As a Senior Product Engineer with over three years of experience, I am passionate about creating innovative, user-centric solutions. My journey in product development began after graduating with a First-Class B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Birmingham City University. At Closer Pets, I transitioned from Product Engineer to Senior Product Engineer, driving successful projects from concept to launch. My Journey: I continue my career as a Senior Product Engineer at Closer Pets, where I played a key role in launching our first IoT products. In this role, I support a talented team of designers and developers, creating cutting-edge products that improve the lives of pet owners. Key Strengths: Product Development: Proficient in prototyping, plastic injection moulding, and design for manufacturability (DFM). I enjoy transforming concepts into tangible, problem-solving products. Technical Expertise: Experienced in 3D modelling (CREO), Prototyping and Design for Manufacture. My technical skills ensure robust and reliable product designs. Mechanical Engineering: Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, with hands-on experience designing precision mechanical products, including intricate mechanical assemblies and plastic mouldings. Electronics Appreciation: Understanding electronics, electrical assemblies, PCB layout, and power requirements. Achievements-Led the development and validation of Closer Pets' second IoT product, setting a benchmark for future projects-Developed a comprehensive test suite for IoT products, significantly improving product reliability and user satisfaction-Introduced 3D CAD software at Bright Green Technology, enhancing design capabilities and operational efficiency-Conducted tolerance studies and numerical design calculations and managed BOM costs to ensure efficient and cost-effective product development.
