About Ciearra Parnell

I am Ciearra Parnell, I am 24 years old, and I am recent Graduate from University of West Alabama with a Bachelor in Engineering Technology. Now I would like to introduce you to myself and some of the roles, jobs, and skills I have done, acquired, or am currently in. In high school, I became a caregiver to a person with paraplegia from May 2016 to August 2018 due to my leaving for college soon. This job taught me communication skills and patience and dealt with strenuous physical work. After that job, I became closer to McDonald's my senior year before I left for college, and with this job, I learned teamwork and customer service skills, among many things. While in high school, I did dual enrollment with Coastal Alabama Community College for welding technology, and I became certified in welding when I graduated high school in May of 2019. As a college student, I was a part of the FLI Society and scholars, which helped me network with others. I have also been a Resident Assistant at my college's Housing Department from August 2020 to December 2023. This job has helped me to be a leader and to learn how to understand and deal with serious situations and how to understand people and accept them for who they are. Even though I am their “superior,” I treat them as I would want to be treated. And I hope to stay in leadership roles and better network with people. During the summer, I work as a Crew Member and have been doing that for the past three years. It has given me an excellent opportunity to be in leadership opportunities and work in many different positions. As of July 2023 I also worked as a lab assistant for my university’s College Physics lab, this lob helped me gain insight of not only helping others understand a process but also helped me learn how to explain and work my way through problems in a multitude of ways. Currently I am working as the Assistant General Manager (AGM) for sonic drive this current position has helped me advance my skills in management and everything comes with it including scheduling, daily counts, and a changing schedule.
