My accounting and finance experience spans a wide range of industries and markets to include employment consulting, aviation, publishing, healthcare and public accounting. I enjoy analyzing processes, systems and procedures to identify ways to improve efficiencies, minimize risk and increase profit margins. In addition, I like to add layers of internal controls to back up all accounting and financial processes and systems. Highlights of my position accomplishments include: Refined accounting and financial reporting systems for D. Hilton Associates. Led payroll outsourcing initiative, developed daily executive report for key decision-making, enhanced jobs progress report and ensured backup of all accounting and financial processes to support external audit and tax. Managed month-end close, internal audit, account reconciliation and financial reporting activities for Wing Aviation. Prepared highly detailed invoicing for charter customers and airplane owners and identified process improvements to drive efficiencies. Built and supervised an accounting team that performed accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, billing, collections and month-end close for Quality Publishing. Managed accounting for multiple magazines and trade-show business. Added accounting controls to ensure GAAP compliance. I am well versed in a wide range of software to include MS Dynamics GP, Quickbooks, Sage MAS 90, Creative Solutions Accounting, MS Office and CORRIDOR applications.
