About Cierra Craft

I am experienced educator seeking to transfer and grow my skills in a new position. I hold a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Louisville. I am passionate about education and learning; I have strong communication, mentoring, and time management skills, which I use to facilitate engaging and meaningful learning experiences for my students and to build trusting and respectful relationships with their families and colleagues. Before joining the YMCA, I worked as a lead preschool teacher at KLA Schools of Prospect, a pre-kindergarten teacher at Primrose Schools, and a preschool teacher at KinderCare Education, where I implemented different curricula and assessment tools, such as the Reggio Emilia Approach, Primrose Balanced Learning, KinderCare, STAR Literacy, and ASQ-SE. I have also facilitated various activities and projects, such as circle and whole group times, math and literacy small group activities, art projects, and provocations, that enhanced the students' cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. I enjoy working with diverse and inclusive teams that share my vision of providing high-quality and holistic education for young children, and I am always eager to learn new skills and strategies that can improve my teaching practice and outcomes.
