About Ciji Good

With over 15 years of work experience in event planning and management, I am passionate about creating memorable and impactful experiences that showcase the excellence and diversity of Virginia Tech. I have a certificate in event management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. As the Director of Special Events at Virginia Tech, I lead a team of dedicated professionals who plan and coordinate all aspects of high-profile institutional events on and off-campus. In my current role, I work closely with senior executives and sponsor groups to ensure that the events reflect the vision, mission, and values of the Advancement Division and the university. I oversee and manage all logistical arrangements, including entertainment, decor, meals, and programming, while maintaining creative and administrative control. I also create, coordinate, and maintain the University Calendar of Special Events, and produce copy for invitations, scripts, etc. I am proud of the events that we have delivered, such as the celebration of the university's sesquicentennial, campaign events, donor stewardship events, and engagement events. I enjoy collaborating with diverse stakeholders, partners, and vendors, and I strive to provide excellent customer service and satisfaction.
