About Cindy Hasio

I've been an art educator for 20 years and have a taught a diverse range of K-12 students in high school, elementary school, private school, and worked at two universities (University of North Texas as a teaching fellow and Valdosta State University as an Assistant Professor, tenure-track). My Ph.D is in Art Education and my Ph.D minor is in Educational Psychology. I also have a Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction in Art Education. My bachelor's degree is in Media Arts amd Animation, and my associate degree is in graphic design. I currently work as an adjunct professor at North Central Texas College and I teach art appreciation. I also worked as an adjunct professor at Tarrant County Community College and taught art appreciation courses for many years. I taught at the Art Institute of Fort Worth as a professor and taught graphic design programs such as Photoshop, and Illustrator. I also taught figurative drawing, perspective drawing, advanced perspective drawing, color theory and interactive web design courses. My experience ranges from teaching art education K-12 public school, art appreciation, perspective and observational drawing, painting, creative thinking, technology and arts, interactive writing, graphic design concepts, color theory, art education curriculum and development and interactive writing for the design industry. I was also in charge of student teachers that were getting certified to teach at public schools. My primary responsibility in art education was to teach and prepare the student teachers at the university, visit them while they student taught in public schools, and evaluate their performance for public teaching certification. I have taught over 45 different college classes and subjects within the design and art education field during my 20 year career.
