Steve Wozniak recounts in iWoz that his childhood of staying home most of the time contributed to the success of him inventing the first Apple computer. While I am definitely no Steve Wozniak, we both consider ourselves to be quiet innovators, love to problem solve and understand the importance of surrounding ourselves with people with a good work ethic. Like Wozniak, I spent a lot of my younger years sitting by myself in front of a ’98 Windows computer designing, creating, dabbling in Audacity and editing clips before YouTube was purchased by Google – all for the sake of a little personal branding. Nowadays you will find me doing a snippet of similar things such as web designing, writing engaging content, and exploring the best strategies for managing projects as Digital Project Officer at Western Australia's largest local government, the City of Stirling, where we help support the local community through arts and events, waste and recycling and community support initiatives. If I’m not on my phone typing up the latest idea that’s just popped into my head, you will find me reading thought-provoking books, going out to explore the latest food trends in Western Australia or catching up on the latest tech & gaming news.
