About Cindy Pinkley

In her current role as Chief Financial Officer of Industries for the Blind, Inc, Cindy Pinkley manages 3 departments—Accounting, Human Resources and Organizational Development. As CFO, Cindy brings fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the table. Prior to her position as CFO, Cindy was the Controller for the agency from 2008 to 2014. In that time, she oversaw the day-to-day functions of the Accounting department which included payroll, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting. During that period the company’s sales grew over 50% to $92M. Under Cindy’s leadership, the accounting department was run in a lean manner with new processes continually implemented for improved efficiencies. Before coming to Industries for the Blind, Cindy worked for The Corporate Group as an Accounting Manager. Throughout her career, Cindy has held management positions in both manufacturing and service industries. Cindy graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and holds a CPA certificate. Her strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple projects at once make Cindy a real asset to the company. She is committed to the growth and success of IB and is passionate about safeguarding employment for the blind. In her spare time Cindy enjoys tennis, boating, reading and socializing with friends. She has two grown children.
