Sustainable development has been an unwavering focus of Cindy’s career since its inception. Cindy’s work has spanned the private, public and non-profit sectors and international institutions focused on creating a more equitable and just world. She founded Gazbeya in 2014 to accelerate the growth of sustainable companies and help startups, accelerators and investors incorporate sustainable practices and social impact in their business models from the start. Gazbeya envisions a world where the private sector will not only cease to have a negative impact on our environment and at-risk communities, but it will also be a force for good that will end the cycle of destruction and rebuilding. As democracy has come under increasing attack in recent years, Cindy has re-ignited her democratization work and launched Civicus, Gazbeya’s newest arm, to use our expertise in communications, tech and project management in service of advocacy groups, political campaigns and civil society. Cindy is a seasoned leader in democratization, technological innovation and policy making. She has a track record for inciting radical growth in influence for clients and managing efficient communication strategies which take advantage of current events, the latest tech tools and the changing power dynamics in our policy making process. She works with venture capitalists, accelerators, startup lawyers, innovators, creatives and others in the tech world in the United States, Asia and the Middle East to shape policy, and accelerate growth of emerging innovations in the tech world with a special focus on innovations which advance democratic governance and sustainability for at-risk populations and modernized foreign relations.
