About Cindy Sneller

I am a positive, passionate, dynamic and influential leader who enjoys process and quality improvement as well as supporting the growth of new and emerging leaders. I am a DNP, APRN board certified CNS as well as a board certified Nurse Executive Advanced and board certified Emergency Nurse. I also have a VERY strong business background having simultaneously run a manufacturing company while working as an RN from 2003 through 2019. I facilitated this manufacturing company thorough an initial ISO 9001 certification and multiple recertifications. Material management utilizing the Kanban approach is a process I have extensive experience with as well. It was in this setting I learned to read a balance sheet and income statement, balance budgets, plan capital purchases, maintain awareness of cash flow and identify and address areas of waste which translates well to the healthcare setting. I am a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and can translate these skills into operationalized process improvement and redesign. All of these skills translate well in healthcare leadership to drive patient safety, staff satisfaction and improve outcomes. I have a proven track record improving nursing quality metrics and shine when driving culture change for the better! I am currently the Director of Nursing for the internationally recognized and prestigious Barrow Neurological Institute. I am privileged to lead 2 neuro ICUs (64 beds) 3 medical surgical telemetry units (112 beds), an 11 suite dedicated, high tech neurosurgical OR, inpatient Neuro Rehab (45 beds), IOM/EEG and outpatient GammaKnife, Neuro Infusion, Radiation Oncology and MRI Nursing. It is my privilege to lead these areas and support their leaders and staff to perform at their highest levels including impressive improvements in NDNQI metrics under my tenure.
