About Cindy Stein

I have worked clinically in maternal health in homes, birth centers, community health centers, and tertiary care hospitals for over two decades globally. While my public health work is rooted in maternal health because of this, I have primarily focused on aid and development during complex humanitarian disasters within a variety of sectors [health, education, waste management, supply chains, malnutrition]. My career is primarily influenced by my commitment to social justice, equality, and the inclusion of compassion by health workers as a cornerstone to excellent in service delivery. I am also interested in the role of technology in creating equitable and logical solutions to common healthcare problems such as data collection, communication, education, and decision support. I currently teach at Cal State Monterey Bay, provide consulting services for global health programs, and provide holistic healthcare in Monterey County.
