About Cindy Vigil

Cindy Vigil (she/her), MSW is a Research Manager at OMNI. In her role, Cindy leads a team that supports the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, Office of Behavioral Health Wellness in their evaluation of Virginia Substance Use Prevention efforts including using data to inform strategic planning efforts, design and implement state and sub-recipient level evaluations, communicate the impact of prevention work to key stakeholders, and enhance evaluation capacity for the prevention workforce. One of Cindy’s primary focus areas includes strategic and technical support for prevention data systems and data collection including development of guidance materials and provision of technical assistance. Cindy also leads training and technical assistance efforts to build capacity of subrecipients, and applies these skills across Virginia prevention projects, as well as within other substance use work with communities funded by SAMSHA’s PFS and HRSA’s RCORP grants. Having earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Denver, Ms. Vigil’s background providing and managing direct community services affords a unique perspective when collaborating with providers, and understanding the challenges associated with evaluating direct and indirect services. With her expertise in data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, and commitment to preventing substance use, Cindy continues to make a significant impact in promoting healthier communities.
