I enjoy working with a team of people who together provide data-focused sales and marketing solutionsI have designed and developed systems for business processes such as purchasing, inventory control, accounts payable, sales, sales analysis, customer service, accounts receivable, cash management, payroll, and general ledger. I have been responsible for all phases of the SDLC. Through my experience I have a solid understanding of business and accounting practices. Through my software development career, I have worked with executives, middle management as well as end users to determine requirements for planning and designing new processes and systems. I am detail-oriented, efficient and possess strong analytical and problem solving skills. I have the ability to deal easily with systems and technical people as well as learn new applications and/or tools quickly. I feel I would be valuable contributor to any design and development team. I am an expert in filePro. The first 17 years of my professional career were spent working in software development for the Floor Covering and Furniture Industries. I customized the system to meet their specific needs by working directly with owners, senior staff, and department heads, as well as end users. For the next 15 years I worked as an in-house software developer. I developed systems to meet the growing needs of the business and to help streamline operations as well as integration with other software applications in use. I worked closely with all departments to determine requirements and solutions as well as coordinating implementation.I have done some consulting with other flooring companies supporting their existing systems and developing new and improved processes to decrease user entry time and increase efficiency. I have used my accounting skills learned from years of requirements gathering as a part time venture to help a local business owner.
