About Cinnamon Westbrook

Dr. Westbrook is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience in conducting comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and follow up care for adults presenting with a variety of neurological and neurodegenerative conditions (i.e. brain injury, stroke, and dementia); and in the mental health treatment for the individual and their support system, addressing the unique issues that arise in the context of life altering illness and rehabilitation treatment. Dr. Westbrook earned her B.S. in Psychobiology at the University of California Davis and her doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) at Loma Linda University with an emphasis in health psychology where she completed training at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center and Loma Linda Medical Center. She completed her medical psychology internship at the Dallas VA Medical Center in Dallas Texas in 2016 training in geriatric medicine, rehabilitation medicine and organ transplant evaluations. She returned to California to complete her fellowship at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System polytrauma system of care where she trained in neuro-rehabilitation specializing in the neuropsychological assessment and psychiatric treatment of Veterans and Active Duty servicemembers who endured catastrophic physical injuries and neurological insult. Prior to her recent return to full time private practice, she worked for two years as the primary rehabilitation neuropsychologist providing cognitive assessment and psychological/interdisciplinary team support to Veterans at one of the largest spinal cord injury treatment centers in the VA system in Long Beach CA. She has recently opened a private practice in Dallas, Texas specializing in personalized comprehensive neuropsychological assessment for individuals with neurodevelopmental (i.e. ADHD) and neurological disorders impacting cognitive functioning. Her aim is to provide clarity around diagnoses and its impact on functioning as well as a safety net and direction to help patients and their families move forward with purpose and meaning.
