About Cirri Nottage

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked as a creative executive in the film and music industries and taught film production, critical studies courses and writing at the college level, and a community organizer. As a practitioner-educator, I enjoy integrating my professional experiences into the classroom. I’ve been described as a creative who balances the artistic demands of a project with equal concern for the practical aspects of getting things done on schedule and on budget. While I’ve enjoyed working as a producer, the operations and logistics side of projects are equally appealing to me. I approached managing a large-scale real estate survey of Dade and Broward Counties in Florida with as much gusto as I did working as a creative executive for Spike Lee. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “The reward of a thing well done is to have done it.” I live by that, and relish working on other people’s projects as much as I do my own. Particularly rewarding is working with people with diverse points of view and helping to find solutions uniting disparate perspectives without sacrificing project goals or quality. I’m currently in the market for new opportunities either in or outside of the film and music industries. I’m able to work in a permanent position or on a freelance basis.
