I have been with ACHD and working in Traffic Operations for 8 years and have taken every opportunity for training, leadership growth, and development of my professional skill set. I help manage a team of roughly 6-20 people by delegating work, assigning locations, and training employees in various applications, methods and processes. I have shown interest in advancement through Leadership ACHD and will continue to pursue furthering my professional skill. While at ACHD, I have worked closely with multiple departments including: Signal Construction, Signal Technicians/ Maintenance, Sign Crews, Road Maintenance & Operations, and Engineering. We effectively complete work orders on strict deadlines and complete chip seal zones while effectively referencing construction plans and maintaining ACHD’s dedication to safety, the MUTCD, and policy standards. In addition to being employed as a Senior Equipment Operator, I also have 5 years experience in the Road Striping and Pavement Marking industry prior to joining ACHD; including a 2 ½ year apprenticeship program. I received hands-on experience, conducted construction plan reading and drawing concepts, obtained certifications for traffic control and OSHA, gained operational knowledge in chip seal, asphalt, striping, thermoplastic, signs, removals, guard rails and more. I am a critical thinker, work well under pressure, and have provided an outside perspective that has brought innovative ideas in accomplishing a multitude of tasks to ACHD. I have the ability to perform duties effectively, while also being able to adjust and seek to perfect the ever-evolving traffic operations. I am very detail oriented and pride myself in the level of quality work that I perform. Effective communication is a strong trait of mine, and I believe my 12 years of in field experience will transition well to many positions. I am very coachable, a fast learner, and believe I can excel wherever I'm positioned in life. My strong work ethic, natural leadership, consistent reliability, adaptability, daily optimism, and my attention to detail all contribute to my strong drive to better myself, and better the team around me.
