About Cj Yang
Throughout my undergraduate studies, I have developed interests in desgining for better living, such as designing amphibious architecture that allows to mitigate flood impact on at-risk housings in flooded areas. Such passion has led me to my master’s thesis, which focuses on the intricate relationship between the built environment and the dwellers in the Shanghai alleyways - longtang. Having to be one of the core members of F_RMlab has allowed me to demonstrate my design capabilities and knowledge in human interactions in the installations. In 2019, I was the animation and projection coordinator of F_RMlab, directing the interactive aspect of an installation for an annual event at the City of Cambridge - Unsilent Night. It was one fo the best experiences I've had. Having to learn and teach each other new softwares, and to work with talented and passionate team members was the best part of this installation.
