Several roles in international management and cross culture cooperation in business / government. Management of technology-based companies and projects, business development and new ventures within the international oil & gas industry, the mechanical industry and the paper industry. Held resident management positions and board room functions in Norway, UK, USA, France, Indonesia and Russia, and has been managing director of industry companies in several countries. For a 10 years period, responsible for Norwegian state-to-state development cooperation programs interfacing at executive level of government and industry, focusing on public sector management of natural resource extraction (petroleum-mining). This has included field analyses, capacity and institution development, advisory functions as well as moderating and lecturing at workshops and discussion fora with national authorities and business community in numerous countries. Work experience from Asia, Africa, Caribbean, Middle East and Europe through partnership and cooperation with UNDP, Norwegian Foreign Ministry, Norad, The Oslo Center, ONS Foundation, as well as embassies and regional industry- and governance organizations. Confident and respectful, with a passion for securing both people and material values in a process. Mr. Reksten has an engineering background in Drilling Technology from Stavanger, Norway, plus Basic Law and Business Studies - from Norway and Scotland.
